You know that cliche about a car that 'couldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding'? Well this one could tear the skin off a T-Rex.
This is the sensational 1,100bhp Stenvo ST1, Denmark’s blood-and-guts answer to the Bugatti Veyron.
An angular, fire-breathing monster of a motor, this hypercar packs an astonishing 7-litre V8 engine which has been turbocharged and supercharged to produce its headline-grabbing power output.
It also churns out a frankly unbelievable 1,054lb/ft of pulling power which is probably enough to create a new continent. Or destroy it.
The Stenvo has to be electronically restrained to a top speed of ‘just’ 233mph – presumably to keep the driver’s heart intact – and completes the 0-62mph dash in just three seconds, just half a second slower than the Veyron.
We’d love to see a tussle between this and the Veyron – the Stenvo weighs just 1,370kg (about the same as a BMW 3 Series) which next to the Veyron’s lardy 1,800kgs, seems featherweight.
Even standing still the Stenvo looks dangerous. We like.
